Convert Excel to PDF Online
Turn an Excel spreadsheet into a PDF that anyone can open, without needing Excel installed. Each row of your spreadsheet becomes a line of text in the PDF, making it easy to share a snapshot of your data as a document that won't be accidentally edited.
How to convert Excel to PDF
- 1 Upload your Excel file (.xlsx)
- 2 Click "Convert to PDF"
- 3 Download the generated PDF
When to use this tool
Sharing read-only data: Send a spreadsheet's contents to someone without a spreadsheet app, in a format they can't accidentally modify.
Archiving a snapshot: Keep a fixed, non-editable record of a spreadsheet's data at a point in time.
Quick printing: Generate a printable version of tabular data without opening Excel.
Important considerations
This is a plain-text conversion: each row is printed as its values
separated by a pipe (|), one line per row. Cell colors, fonts,
column widths, borders, charts, and formulas are not preserved — only the
text values. If you need to keep your spreadsheet's visual formatting
intact, export directly to PDF from Excel instead.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will my spreadsheet's formatting (colors, fonts, borders) be preserved?
No. This tool extracts the text values from each row and prints them as plain lines in the PDF — visual formatting isn't carried over.
Are charts or images from my spreadsheet included?
No, only the cell text values are converted. Charts and embedded images are not included in the output.
Does it work with multiple sheets in one file?
Only the first sheet in the workbook is converted. If your data is on a different sheet, move or copy it to the first sheet before uploading.
Is there a row or file size limit?
There's no fixed row limit, but the uploaded file must be under 20MB. Very large spreadsheets will produce a longer, multi-page PDF automatically.
